Davines OI Hair Butter 250ml

The heaviest thing in the OI range, and the one that actually deals with stubborn frizz.

Davines list it as suitable for all hair types, but in practice it's noticeably richer than the conditioner. That's the point — it's for hair that doesn't respond to lighter products, and it smooths where they just soften.

What you'll notice

It flattens frizz rather than coating over it. On coarse, curly or naturally unruly hair the difference is immediate — hair sits down, behaves, and stays that way rather than lifting again an hour later.

Who it's for

Stubborn frizz, coarse texture, curly hair that fights back. If you've tried lighter smoothing products and they haven't held, this is the step up.

Who it's not for

Fine hair will find this too much — it'll go flat and feel heavy. Stick with the OI Conditioner, or the All In One Milk if frizz is the issue. It's also more than you need if your hair is already easy to manage.

How to use it

After shampooing, squeeze the water out first. Work through mid-lengths and ends, leave a few minutes, rinse well. Use it in place of your conditioner rather than on top, and once or twice a week is usually enough unless your hair is very coarse.
