My go-to for blow-drying. Genuinely one of my favourite products in the whole range.

Whatever finish you're after — sleek and smooth, soft with movement, or big and bouncy — this is the one I reach for first. It protects from heat, gets rid of frizz and keeps humidity out, so the blow-dry you walk away with is the one you still have at the end of the day.

What you'll notice

Hair that's soft and shiny rather than coated. Frizz gone, and it stays gone in damp weather. And it's flexible — it doesn't lock you into one look, it just makes whatever you're doing work better.

Who it's for

Anyone who blow-dries. Smooth, bouncy or somewhere in between, and across most hair types. If you only buy one styling product, this is a good candidate.

What to pair it with

On its own it's about smoothness and control. Pair it with something for body and you get the best of both:

• Sea Salt Spray — for movement and texture with a smoother, shinier finish than salt spray gives alone

Who it's not for

If you're after a matte, gritty, undone finish, this pulls the other way — it's all softness and shine. The Dry Wax Finishing Spray or Dry Texturizer are your products for that.

How to use it

Work a small amount through towel-dried hair, mid-lengths to ends, before blow-drying. Add your volume product at the roots if you're using one, then dry as normal.
